Women & menstrual problem


Masalah berkaitan haid (period) sangat common dikalangan wanita.
Baik remaja ataupun dewasa. 

Masa di sekolah asrama dulu 
saya selalu tengok 2-3 orang rakan saya terguling-guling atas katil sebab sakit perut 
gara-gara period pain. 

Bila dah start kerja, saya kenal beberapa orang yang period cycle tak tetap. 
Kadang-kadang datang, 
kadang-kadang sampai 2-3 bulan tak ada period. 
Ada beberapa orang kenalan saya yang period 
sampai berminggu-minggu tak berhenti. 

Sekarang baru saya tahu 
sebenarnya sangat penting untuk kita pastikan kitaran haid kita tetap dan lancar tanpa period pain.

Irregular Period cycle

Cause of irregular periods
Irregular menstrual periods are usually the result of hormonal signals that have been thrown out of sync. 
Our body makes estrogen & progesterone hormones.
Irregular period is cause by imbalance/changes of hormone levels.

Condition that makes hormone changes are:
Pregnancy: most women will not have their periods
Stress:common cause - fatigued, worried, anxious can cause hormones to become unbalanced.
Diet:poor diet or extreme weight loss/ gain also effect hormones.
Exercise: intensive exercise can wreak havoc on your body causing irregular periods.
Hormonal birth control: pills & injections

Period pain is an indicator that your body does not functioning properly.

Cause & symptom of period pain
Blood stagnation
Blood stagnation in the pelvic and abdomen area is a common cause of period pain. 
When the blood becomes stagnant in this region it may form blood clots which affect blood circulation leading to period pain. 
This is because of t
he body is affected by cold conditions (often drinking cold/freezing water or cold whether etc) or trauma.

Qi stagnation and stress
This is also a very common cause of period pain, especially in women who are students, stressful occupation or lifestyle. 
When people are stressed it affects the liver energy and qi  and circulation. 
It will cause energy and qi to become stagnant. Chinese medicine considers that if qi becomes stagnant it will cause blood to become stagnant and therefore period pain.
For this type of period pain, women may suffer from the following symptoms; bloating, breast fullness and or pain before period, insomnia, vivid dreams, very emotional, PMS. 
These individuals may also have irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, depression, breast cysts.
Qi and blood weakness
This type of period pain usually occurs in women how have a weaker body or have poor circulation thus making the flow of qi and blood very sluggish. 
This slows the flow of the blood in the uterus causing pain. 
This type of period pain is usually a dull ache, not very severe but long lasting. 
You may have the following symptoms; 
pallor, lethargy, dizziness, sluggish bowel movement, irregular or delayed period. 
These people may also suffer from; 
iron deficiency, low blood pressure, chronic fatigue syndrome.

Selalunya bila jadi period pain, apa yang kita buat??

Ambil botol air panas/suam letak di bahagian yang cramp tadi.
Mandi & berendam dalam air suam dalam bath tub
Minum air suam atau sus panas
